Anesthesiology

  • Bloomington, Illinois - Come be a part of McLean County Anesthesiology, including nine anesthesiologists and fifteen certified registered nurse anesthetists. Coverage includes OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center, Eastland Medical Plaza, Center for Health at Fort Jesse, and McLean County Orthopedics, all based in Bloomington, Illinois. Call is divided equally.

Clinical Medical Physicist

  • Peoria, Illinois - Reporting to the Chief Medical Physicist, the Clinical Medical Physicist is responsible for performing testing and calibration of radiotherapy delivery systems in accordance with established protocols and state and federal regulations. Candidate will be expected to develop and assess treatment plans for external beam radiotherapy including 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS/SBRT and brachytherapy. The candidate will also calibrate, prepare, handle, survey, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with radiation safety policies and state/federal regulations. This position provides assistance to personnel in matters of radiation safety and radiotherapy treatment delivery, and maintains knowledge of current standards in radiotherapy technology, methods and techniques, and regulations. The job incumbent is required to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit. This requires that the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of the patient population served. Knowledge of radiation physics, mathematics, statistics, biology, etc., radiotherapy technology and the ability to assess and calibrate radiation therapy  equipment at a level normally acquired through a Master's degree in Medical Radiation Physics. Incumbent must have graduated from an accredited program in Medical Physics and have completed a two year residency in Medical Physics with an emphasis in Radiation Therapy. Interpersonal skills necessary to provide formal classroom instruction, speak at professional meetings and interface with all levels of Medical Center personnel.

Colorectal Surgery

Critical Care Intensivist

  • Peoria, Illinois - New opportunity exists for a board certified critical care intensivist to help lead the building of a comprehensive, dedicated 24/7 cardiac intensive care service. 3-5 years of dedicated cardiac surgical ICU experience is required. Join a growing group of 12 intensivists, working with 40 cardiologists and 5 cardiovascular surgeons, in developing a collaborative program centered around critical care cardiac surgery, critical care cardiology, and mechanical circulatory support patients. OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is home to 69 critical care beds, including a 20 bed CVICU/CCU and 12 intermediate beds. OSF approaches acute medicine for critically ill patients as an integrated team, including both intensivists and fellows, in a shared practice model. The medical center also employs advanced practice nurses and physician assistants dedicated to the support of critical care services. Large volume and variety of open and endovascular cases are performed including ECMO and TAVR, with plans to redevelop a destination therapy LVAD program. All 145 ICU beds in the OSF HealthCare system, including 20 CVICU/CCU beds, are supported by our intensivisits using eICU telemedicine.

Hospice

  • Peoria, Illinois - Join a team of two OSF physicians giving state of the art High Accuity (greater than 80% General Inpatient) program at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home. The interdisciplinary team includes RN’s Nursing Assistants, pastoral care, counseling support, bereavement, social work, volunteers and therapy dogs. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in palliative education at all levels, including medical and nursing students, residents, and development of a Hospice & Palliative Medicine Fellowship program. The OSF Hospice Home allows terminally ill patients to receive 24-hour comfort care in a peaceful, serene setting. It is the first hospice home in central Illinois and only the fourth such facility in the state of Illinois. There is opportunity for this physician to practice in multiple settings including outpatient palliative care, community hospice, and inpatient palliative care if desired. Each physician sees an average of 6-8 patients per day and usually performs 1- 2 consults daily. The 40 hours are exempt. Call averaging 2 nights per week and one weekend per month is built into the salary. Requirements: HPM board certification or eligibility, with a requirement to certify within the first two years of employment. Infectious Disease

Intensivist

  • Peoria, Illinois - Part-time / prn intensivists for eICU. Coverage includes 11 hospitals with a total average census of 100-120 patients. Total ICU system is licensed for 160 beds. Intensivist shifts are available 7 pm to 7 am - seven days a week, with 7 am - 7 pm coverage on weekends and holidays. Previous eICU experience is helpful, but not required. We will have physician monitoring stations at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. New physician monitoring station planned to be located near O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.

Occupational Health

  • Peoria, Illinois - Busy occupational medicine practice seeks an additional physician to practice with other board certified physicians with additional specialty training in occupational medicine.   BE/BC occupational medicine physician is desired. We will also consider a board certified family medicine or internal medicine physician with occupational medicine experience.   • Galesburg, Illinois - The OSF Galesburg Clinic is seeking an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) physician to join its multi-specialty group seeing both adult and pediatric patients from a strong referral group. The OSF Galesburg Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic working with multiple OSF primary care sites in the region. The 25 physician and 8 midlevel multi-specialty clinic includes practices in internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), neurology, ophthalmology, general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, podiatry, psychology, and urology. Each physician is able to practice independently, but, draw on support and referrals from colleagues. Physicians are assisted with patient care by licensed nursing personnel, medical assistants, and technicians for in-house procedures and test such as EMG, cystoscopy, minor excision, biopsy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and obstetric ultrasound. Ancillary convenience services provided on site include waived lab testing, a draw station for complex lab testing, EKG, PFT, anticoagulation clinic, and in house infusions.   • Peoria, Illinois -  Practice with one pediatric ENT and one adult ENT seeing both adult and pediatric patients. Recruitment will be ongoing in order to build a 5 member team. Office is located at the OSF Center for Health. Diagnostic imaging, medical group primary care offices, a PromptCare and an ambulatory surgery center are all embedded in the facility. Ambulatory surgery center in the same building offers optional ownership equity. Busy schedule from day one in this general ENT position. Head and neck procedures including thyroid, parathyroid, salivary gland, and tumor excision should be anticipated. More complicated head and neck procedures would be handled by physician formally trained in head and neck cases. Palliative Care

Pastoral Care and counseling support also available. An excellent opportunity for a new fellowship trained physician to join with a plan for succession or an experienced palliative care physician looking to take on additional responsibilities. This is an intriguing opportunity offering a physician flexibility to incorporate inpatient palliative care support, hospice support, home health visits, or any preferred combination. The physician will provide 24/7 care to adult patients, and also foster and support the palliative care program within our institution. Each provider will perform an average of two consults daily. Each team (consisting of physician and APNs) sees approximately 10-12 patients per day. Rotating schedule of five days per week, eight hour days. Call is light and shared amongst the team. 1:8 weekends. Requirements: palliative care board certification or eligibility, with a requirement to certify with-in the first two years employment.

In this position, you will care for patients in our ambulatory pulmonary practice, with access to the interventional pulmonary lab with EBUS and provide primary management of ICU patients, while working in collaboration with other physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals who are care team members. eICU coverage is provided by OSF Pulmonary/Critical Care.
