Clinical Medical Physicist
Peoria, Illinois - Reporting to the Chief Medical Physicist, the Clinical Medical Physicist is responsible for performing testing and calibration of radiotherapy delivery systems in accordance with established protocols and state and federal regulations. Develops and assesses treatment plans for external beam radiotherapy including 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SRS/SBRT and brachytherapy. Calibrates, prepares, handles, surveys, and disposes of radioactive materials in accordance with radiation safety policies and state/federal regulations. Provides assistance to personnel in matters of radiation safety and radiotherapy treatment delivery. Maintains knowledge of current standards in radiotherapy technology, methods and techniques, and regulations. May provide instruction to other staff members in topics related to radiotherapy and radiation safety. A new gynecology oncologist will also be able to deliver chemotherapy if they so choose in a partnership with a large oncology group with a well-established referring base. Rockford, Illinois - Join our multidisciplinary surgical group with expertise in trauma, colorectal, surgical critical care, breast and burn. Scope of the practice is outpatient and inpatient, with a broad range of open, laparoscopic, and robotic cases from a Level 1 Trauma Center. Physician must be ABS board-eligible or certified. Surgical oncology fellowship graduates or experienced surgical oncologists who are ABS complex general surgical oncology (CGSO)-certified/eligible preferred but not required. Call is 1:4. Base population served 750,000. Currently no CGSO-certified surgeon in the service area.
