Peoria, Illinois

  • Interventional Cardiology - OSF Healthcare’s Cardiovascular Institute, a group of 40 plus Cardiologist service central Midwest, is looking to add an Intervention Cardiologist to their growing practice! Intertwined with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, a high volume tertiary center, current statistics boast 1200 coronary PCI/ year; 300 STEMI / year. Cath lab equipped with IVUS, FFR, Impella. Cardiogenic Shock Center of referral. Look forward to joining a practice with an established Structural and complex EP program, active Cardiology Fellowship program with 9 total fellows, and a developing LVAD/Transplant program.   • Thoracic Surgery - OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Service Line is actively recruiting a board eligible/certified thoracic surgeon for a position within the OSF Cardiovascular Service Line. Since its inception in 2003, the Thoracic Center of Excellence has expanded to include clinical research, publications, a patient education guide and video, education conferences, and collaboration with other institutions. Typical volume includes 300-350 cases a year. Cases include Tracheal resections, VATS lobectomies, esophagectomies pneumonectomies, as well as multiple thoracoscopies, rigid bronchoscopies, and esophageal perforations. The entire scope of thoracic surgery should be anticipated, with the exception of lung transplantation. Beginning in 2006, the center has been involved in an initiative to improve the quality of patient care by collecting outcome data to report to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ national database. Our Thoracic Center of Excellence was ranked first in the country for risk-adjusted outcomes for major lung resections the last time centers were given a rank number. Since that time we have ranked in the top decile for major lung resections as we continue to pursue excellent patient outcomes.

  • General Cardiology - Our team is growing! We are recruiting for a board-certified/board-eligible non-invasive cardiologist. Interest in heart failure management and/or cardiac MRI would be desirable. We’re looking for the right candidate to become a member of our cardiology team at OSF Cardiovascular Institute. OSF Cardiovascular Institute is the largest practice of its kind in the region. Different opinions and expertise are both welcomed and appreciated. Call consists of 1:4 weeknights and 1:4 weekends. Focused intently on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular, and endovascular disease in our patients, OSF Cardiovascular Institute also retains subspecialties in interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular medicine and preventative cardiology. Currently OSF Saint Anthony is the only local hospital doing TAVR procedures and robotic cardiac surgery. Delivering our patients specialty care through our device clinic, lipid clinic, heart function clinic, structural heart disease (TAVR), and an advanced peripheral vascular intervention program.

With 15 Cardiologists, five advanced practice providers, two cardiovascular/thoracic surgeons, and a full contingency of trained support staff at the OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Institute and OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center, the OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Institute is the largest practice of its kind in the region.Scope of the practice is outpatient and inpatient, with a broad range of open and endovascular cases including carotid, peripheral vascular, aneurysm and some traumatic injury, from a Level 1 Trauma Center. Trauma experience is desired. Leadership opportunities exist for those with experience. Vascular lab interpretation is a plus with approximately 50% responsibility for reading studies from OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center and OSF Surgical Group labs. Physician must be board-eligible or board-certified. New graduates or experienced physicians will be considered. Applicants must have a general surgery residency with subsequent vascular surgery fellowship or a vascular surgery residency.
