Peoria, Illinois - OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Institute, part of OSF HealthCare, seeks a BC/BE Electrophysiologist in Peoria, Illinois. OSF HealthCare consists of thirteen hospitals and medical centers, one long-term facility and two colleges of nursing. The cardiovascular service line consists over 55 Cardiologists and surgeons. You will walk into a progressive practice that will be busy from day one with a primary care referral base of 300+ providers. We are group of 4 electrophysiologists and 2 nurse practitioners who work very closely with one another in addition to collaborating with a very skilled pediatric electrophysiologist. We have electrophysiology labs with dedicated EP staff who are familiar with performing all devices, Watchman, complex ablations including epicardial VT ablation as well as Impella devices if needed. OSF Medical Center is a 650 bed hospital with approximately 12 feeder hospitals with a catchment area of 2 million patients. Volume is not a problem at our institution and we currently have waiting periods of several months for an atrial fibrillation ablation. OSF was recently ranked by Forbes Magazine as the best employer in the state of Illinois and as number 46 best employer nationally. Moreover, we are actively involved in medical education as we have a general cardiology fellowship. Peoria, Illinois - OSF Cardiovascular Service Line is actively recruiting a board-eligible/board-certified thoracic surgeon for a position within the OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Service Line. Since its inception in 2003, the Thoracic Center of Excellence has expanded to include clinical research, publications, a patient education guide and video, education conferences, and collaboration with other institutions. Typical volume includes 300-350 cases a year. Cases include tracheal resections, VATS lobectomies, esophagectomies pneumonectomies, as well as multiple thoracoscopies, rigid bronchoscopies, and esophageal perforations. The entire scope of thoracic surgery should be anticipated, with the exception of lung transplantation. Beginning in 2006, the Center has been involved in an initiative to improve the quality of patient care by collecting outcome data to report to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ national database. Our Thoracic Center of Excellence was ranked first in the country for risk-adjusted outcomes for major lung resections the last time centers were given a rank number. Since that time we have ranked in the top decile for major lung resections as we continue to pursue excellent patient outcomes. The vascular surgeon will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary model with cardiologists, CV surgeons, independent radiologists and other non-employed physicians. Call of 1:4 is shared with employed cardiothoracic surgeons and in conjunction collaborating practices. Opportunity exists to perform a large volume and variety of open and endovascular cases including EVAR, TEVAR, CAS, in state of the art facilities with access to our new hybrid OR suite, Innova IGS Discovery 730. You will also have the ability to participate in a large variety of venous cases. In addition, we have a high volume non-invasive vascular imaging lab that is IAC certified. – call technicians. The cardiovascular service line consists over 55 Cardiologists and surgeons. You will walk into a progressive practice that will be busy from day one with a primary care referral base of 300+ providers.
