Description

The Trauma Outreach Coordinator is responsible for generating referrals of patients who have been a victim of crime to utilize Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) program services.  This position works within OSF HealthCare and various community programs to advertise and promote TRC program offerings.  The Trauma Outreach Coordinator will build strong relationships with patients, communities, and providers to establish program identity and value. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in a social work, counseling or behavioral health-related field

 

 

Previous work experience with providing educational services, involvement in developing or advancing mental health programs, and community collaboration

 

Experience coordinating community based educational/ activity programs, i.e. Park District, Health Care, Behavioral Health

 

 

Interpersonal skills in order to engage, coach, and mentor others, facilitate/organize/direct the work of others and to maintain positive relationships among participants, leadership, ministry/facility staff and internal/external stakeholders

 

Proven skills in written/verbal communications, problem solving, independent problem solving, decision making abilities, creativity, prioritization/delegation and necessary computer-related skill, i.e. Microsoft Suite

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Working knowledge of trauma, including effects of trauma, types of trauma, key elements of working with trauma and evidence-based treatment approaches

 

 

CPR – American Heart Association
