Focus is for Pediatrics 


The Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) assists the Ophthalmologist in the testing and diagnostic evaluation of patients with ocular complaints and disorders.  The COT does measurements and tests that provide the physician with the information needed to arrive at a diagnosis for treatment. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School/GED 

 

Active Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Certification through the IJCAHPO OR must obtain certification within 2 years of hire date.

  

At least 2 years experience in an Ophthalmology practice.

 

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

 

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

  

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

COMT certification
