Job Description

Description

Prepares and presents high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services. Properly follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customer’s orders and prepare the order according to recipe, keeping in mind additional customer specifications or dietary needs.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Diploma or GED

 

6 months healthcare or restaurant facility.

 

Know basic math skills and follow instructions.

 

Must be willing and capable of working in a fast paced environment.

 

Must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment.

 

Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire).  Anyone hired into the Cook position at Saint Francis Medical Center (Peoria, IL) prior to 9/1/2020is to be considered grandfathered and exempt from this requirement.

 

FSSC-Food Service and Sanitation Certification

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Culinary Degree

 

2 years of experience as a cook in a healthcare facility.
