Description

The Senior Strategic Planner supports the execution of the strategic plan for OSF Healthcare System.  Provides assistance and facilitation for the management planning process and related activities for all OSF regions, service lines and entities in collaboration with local planning resources to ensure alignment with Ministry goals and areas of focus. Works closely with OSF HealthCare executive leaders on the development of robust plans for their area of assigned responsibility, including the development and maintenance of effective measures that provide visibility related to performance and meaningful progress. Assists in the development of timely market and industry trend analysis in collaboration with Ministry Healthcare Analytics, Marketing and Communications and other OSF divisions to identify and evaluate actionable opportunities and future strategies. Leads complex planning efforts both internally and through consulting partners. Trains, mentors and develops others in the department.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other closely related field

 

5 to 7 years of experience in healthcare operations and planning.

 

3 years of project management experience in leading high-level, complex projects.

 

Must be able to manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously.

 

3 years of experience addressing operational and system related problems, gathering and interpreting operational, financial and clinical data, and preparing clear, concise management reports.

 

Group facilitation and presentation skills, including previous experience preparing and delivering both small and large group presentations to administrators, physicians, and others. 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Master’s degree Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or other closely related field

 

Exposure and/or training in 6 Sigma and or other PI methodologies and measurement.
