Description

Pediatric rehabilitation experience preferred. Pediatric OT promotes motor and sensory development for functional life skills, including evaluating children in the areas of general development, fine motor skills, upper body function, vision-perception, sensory processing, hand-eye coordination, handwriting, motor planning, play skills and self-care skills such as eating, dressing and bathing when appropriate. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy

 

State license and National Board Certification Occupational Therapy registration

 

CPR:  American Heart BLS

 

Current state driver’s license for those providing Driving Evaluations

 

Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served

 

Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information

 

Analytical ability to evaluate patients' Occupational and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems

 

Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Previous work experience as an Occupational Therapist 

 

Valid driver’s license
