Reports directly to Practice Manager for business and overall operations in collaboration with the Medical Directors of Sleep Labs for clinical and One OSF Sleep issues. In addition to performing all duties of an OSFMG Sleep Tech, such as record scoring, the preparation and calibration of equipment, gathering and analyzation of patient information and patient education, this position is also responsible for leading and overseeing assigned projects and process improvements that standardize quality of training, policies, quality control and obtaining/maintaining accreditation with AASM. Maintains cooperative working relationships with physicians and midlevel providers, OSFMG personnel, Medical Center personnel, other OSF entities, and external agencies and organizations.
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to all ages.
5 years prior experience in a hospital based sleep lab or equivalent.
Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility.
Possesses valid current Sleep credentials from accredited organization.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians and other ministry mission , and external agencies and organizations.
Analytical skills necessary in order to organize training, accreditation timelines, monitor site activities and implement effective clinical care procedures.
Ability to articulate complex concepts both orally and in writing.
