The Instrument Technician II maintains consistency and continuous workflow in SPD while practicing above average customer service. Assembles and delivers case carts accurately and completely. Maintains disposable inventory, notifying Materials Management of shortages.
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years’ experience working in all areas of Sterile Processing
Excellent Communication Skills
Basic Computer Knowledge
Completion of an accredited program in Sterile Processing
Working knowledge of medical terminology, methods of sterilization, infection control, standard precautions, use of sterilizers, decontamination equipment and procedures, intricate specialty equipment, including power equipment and micro surgical equipment, surgical instrumentation by name and usage, and cleaning of Durable medical equipment.
