Hiring for HomeCare

Focus: IV Room Technician 

 

Monday-Friday; Days Shift and On Call Rotation on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

The Pharmacy Technician II performs licensed home infusion pharmacy functions including aseptic compounding under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.   As part of an interdisciplinary team interacts with home infusion staff, and physicians to coordinate and perform patient supply management.  Distributes and picks up drug, equipment, and supplies to/from patients.  Facilitates transfer of delivery paperwork to reimbursement. Handles medical/hazardous waste and responsible for proper disposal.  Responsible for equipment cleaning and maintenance. Insures pharmacy area is clean and organized and assists in maintaining upkeep of delivery vehicles.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School diploma or equivalent.

 

1 year experience in health care setting.

 

Pharmacy Technician in Illinois or Michigan (dependent on location of employment).

 

Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer certification.

 

Working knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

 

Working knowledge of arithmetic calculations.

  

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


1 year pharmacy experience.

 

Working knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology.

 

Working knowledge in mixing solutions and preparing medications using aseptic technique.
