The Project Manager III is responsible for supporting the management of multiple business intelligence projects of high complexity from original concept through design and implementation.  Serves as a key enabler of Ministry Healthcare Analytics (MHA) project management activities within the Ministry by integrating people, process, and technology following departmental project management standards. Responsible for completing workflow and application design, completing business assessments, developing and managing project budgets and detailed project work plans.  Responsible for implementing solutions for projects involving MHA activities by managing communication, coordination, and integration of project work with all areas affected by a project including those we serve, information services, impacted vendors, and facility leadership.  Serves as a liaison with the business leaders of OSF Healthcare System.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor's degree in project management, business, finance, nursing, economics or health care administration.

 

5 years’ experience as a project manager, overseeing multiple projects requiring information technology/business intelligence or software app development with at least 3 years in the healthcare industry.

 

Ability to effectively use standard project-management tools (i.e. Excel or MS Project)

 

Ability to adapt style of management and content of communication for technical and non-technical audiences including administrators, physicians and others.

 

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. 

 

If not currently certified, must be certified within 6 months of hiring.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Experience with Epic system documentation and workflow. 

 

Experience facilitating or directing a project team on patient quality, safety and satisfaction measures, data definitions and benchmarks.

 

Advanced project management, business, finance, nursing, economics or health care administration degree (MSN, MBA, etc.). 

 

Knowledge of OSF Healthcare System specific financial and clinical systems. 

 

Knowledge of performance improvement models, methods and systems.
