Description

Ensures provision of high quality services and adherence to department and medical Center policies and procedures, monitors work flow and makes recommendations for improvements. Assists managers with the development, implementation, and/or monitoring of policies and procedures. Involved in quality improvement initiatives, training and education of assigned employees, and operational improvements. Orders supplies and adheres to budgetary guidelines. Develops and maintains communication links with physicians, staff, patients and Medical Center departments. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients severed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Knowledge at level of Bachelor’s degree in Health related field or extensive knowledge of ambulatory care, management and computer systems gained through experience.

 

Approximately 1 to 2 years of experience in order to gain knowledge of budget preparation, development of marketing materials, and resolve operational problems.

 

Successful completion of national registration examination in EEG by the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists

 

 Analytical skills necessary in order to supervise activities, supplies and equipment for multiple locations, identify training needs, assist in developing educational programs for staff, and assist in developing policies and procedures.

 

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to direct and oversee work of employees, explain Medical Center and department policies and procedures, communicate effectively with other Medical Center personnel when gathering and exchanging information and when dealing with physicians, physician staff and patients.

 

Maintains knowledge and developments and updates of CPT and ICD-9 coding.

 

Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with department and Medical center personnel and outside agencies.
