PRN - schedule will be working between hours of 8:30am-5:00pm; primarily in Urbana, must be flexible working in Danville and Bloomington as needed.
Reviews prescriptions, obtains clarifications, analyzes drug therapy and regularly consults with medical staff and nursing personnel in order to coordinate delivery of high quality pharmaceutical services to our Medical Center patients and staff. Responsible for compounding and dispensing medications according to established policies & procedures of the professional of pharmacy . Supervises pharmacy technicians in the preparation of medication. Although duties may vary by assigned area or shift, the following accurately describes the essential job functions.
Completion of a BS/Pharm.D degree in Pharmacy. Current Pharmacist license in the State of Illinois,in good standing is required.
Working knowledge of the QS/1 retail computer system a plus.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and various other Medical Center personnel when explaining medication use and gathering and exchanging other medication information.
Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions.
Strong customer service skills a must.
Ability to handle multi-task environment.
