Job Description

Description

Follows established policies, procedures, and performs and records Echocardiology diagnostic tests.  In doing so, obtains information about normal and abnormal anatomy used to diagnosis disease.  Ensures echo exams are of accept¬able quality and records results.  Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Graduate of an accredited Echo sonography Program

 

 

Must become registered within twelve months of employment by either the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (Preferred) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). 

 

 

CPR through the American Heart Association
