Description

The Leader of Physician Compensation is responsible for the development and execution of all physician compensation plans, models and their alignment with Ministry strategies. This position will work with the Chief Clinical Officer to lead the redesign of our current models and develop new and comprehensive standard work processes to ensure accurate and timely pay. The leader will have an excellent understanding of human motivation and behavior economics to best position compensation models in their alignment with the mutual objectives of OSF and its physicians. The leader will be accountable to propose plans unique to the needs of each specialty and work to develop compensation models and plans for presentation to appropriate OSF committees and the Board. In this role, the leader will participate in acquisition discussions regarding transitional and future compensation and work collaboratively with Finance on the respective business case. This position will have multiple strategic relationships with Ministry, Regional, and Market leaders to create success.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance or Business

 

 

 

3 years’ experience in healthcare finance, operations, and operational regulations

 

5 years’ Management & leadership experience in a consumer focused healthcare

 

Working knowledge and experience with physician contracts, compensation models, and fair market value considerations

 

Working knowledge of finance, reimbursement, budgetary, strategic planning in a multi-system healthcare environment

 

 

Working knowledge of current Federal and State rules and regulations governing healthcare

 

Working knowledge and experience in developing and negotiating acquisitions, joint ventures, and similar business arrangements with healthcare provider 

 

Ascribes to and represent Catholic Religious Ethics, Values, and Principles as they relate to the practice of 

Catholic healthcare

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance or Business
