Assisting in care and management of surgery patients in the hospital, including rounding with surgeons and participating in Interdisciplinary Rounds with the care team (nurses, pharmacists, therapists, social service, discharge planning). Some post op visits in the office. Depending on qualifications, possibility of assisting in the OR.
General hours: Monday would start at 6:30 AM. Tues-Friday likely 7:00 until afternoon. No call, would not anticipate weekends.
According to professional standards of care, performs a variety of advanced nursing / physician assistant functions.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
However graduates with minimal experience will be considered.
