Description

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for generating referrals of patients who have been a victim of crime to utilize TRC program services.  Works with the Medical Center and different community programs to advertise and promote Trauma Recovery program offerings.  Building strong relationships with patients, communities, and providers to establish program identity and value proposition. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in a social work, counseling or behavioral health-related field.

 

 

Experience running community based educational/ activity programs, (intern experience is included).  For example, Park District, Health Care, Behavioral Health

 

 

Previous work experience with providing educational services, involvement in developing or advancing mental health programs, and community collaboration.

 

 

Interpersonal skills in order to engage, coach, and mentor others, facilitate/organize/direct the work of others and to maintain positive relationships among participants, leadership, ministry/facility staff and internal/external stakeholders.

 

Proven skills in written/verbal communications, problem solving, independent problem solving, decision making abilities, creativity, prioritization/delegation and necessary computer-related skill.

 

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Working knowledge of trauma, including effects of trauma, types of trauma, key elements of working with trauma and evidence-based treatment approaches.

 

 

CPR – American Heart Association
