In accordance with department policies and procedures, provides professional nursing care to advanced heart failure patients. This includes evaluating patients' need for medical care, scheduling patient appointments, reviewing patients' charts and test results, assisting medical provider, and related treatment. Provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with provider orders. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct care that is appropriate to the patient population served.
Graduate of an accredited RN program
Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
BSN if new to the role (required completion within 6 years of hire date)
American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers)
6 months experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
