The surgical services Operating Room Support Assistant I works under the direction of the clinical nursing care manager of surgery, and the Surgical Services Supervisor. The OR Support Assistant I is responsible for room turnover, inventory stocking and housekeeping duties within the operating room. They are also responsible for transportation of inpatients to and from holding bays, as well as transport of specimens.
High School Graduate or equivalent
6 months previous hospital
Current American Heart Association healthcare provider BLS(Basic Life Support) CPR or approved equivalent (must include infant through adult, one and two-man rescuer, use of AED, and choking with hands-on CPR skills return demonstration, and must be pre-approved by Org/Dev/Human Resources) completed prior to employment.
Successful completion of accredited nursing assistant program.
