Description

The Nutrition Services Manager is responsible for the management and oversight for all operational activities and job performance of food service staff and Dietitians engaged in providing safe, therapeutically compliant, sanitary, and quality food services. This encompasses all direct patient contact, meal ordering, and delivery services. Implements and monitors programs to achieve high patient meal service satisfaction and mission partner engagement. Responsible for departmental budget and meeting set financial goals. Trains and educates staff on departmental positions and policies and procedures.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years’ experience in a lead food service role with 2 years as a lead role

 

 

Food Handlers Certificate from ANSI certified program within 30 days of employment or current Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate (FSSMC) from ANSI

 

Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) or Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate (FSSMC) from ANSI certified program within 90 days of employment as required by facility

 

Allergen Certificate from ANSI certified program within 90 days of employment as required by facility

 

Michigan - SERVSafe Certification  (must obtain within 6 months of hire)

 

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

2 years of leadership of progressively responsible experience in food service

 

 

Registered Dietitian (RD) – Current State Licensure

 

Accreditation as a Certified Dietary Manager.
