The Vice President of Clinical Speciality Services, OSFMG, is responsible for development of superior clinical outcomes across all ambulatory specialty care areas of the OSF Medical Group. This physician executive works collaboratively with the OSFMG CEO, SVP of Clinical Operations, Vice President of Primary Care Services, and Regional Administrative VPs to ensure that strategic development of departmental systems of care are developed, defined and shared for operational effectiveness. Engagement of clinicians and care teams will be foundational to the success of this approach, while aligning clinical quality, service, access and financial goals to overall OSFMG and OSF Ministry goals and key outcomes. This person will work across the OSF MultiSpecialty Services leadership to identify and lead clinical care councils, align key subject matter experts, and assure pathways are in place across ambulatory points of care in order to meet the health care needs of the populations that OSF serves. This executive collaborates with Ministry leadership to drive performance across the continuum of care and ensure a consistent and high quality patient experience. Working collaboratively with the Ministry CMO, this role helps establish and execute strategies and initiatives, including a Quality and Safety strategy and Population Health initiatives across the Ambulatory Care specialty settings. This role drives consistency and is responsible for the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and services provided across the OSF Medical Group specialty practices and integrates with OSF Multispecialty Services.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Licensed physician in the State of Illinois. 

 

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with an additional 5 years of progressively increasing experience in a clinical leadership role is preferred. 

 

Professional development courses in health care management and/or MPH, MHS, MBA, or MS in health administration or closely related degree is also preferred.

 

Demonstrable understanding of current Federal and State rules and regulations governing health care.

 

General knowledge of finance, reimbursement, budgetary, strategic planning in a multi-system healthcare environment.

 

Ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers on direct provision, referral and contractual basis.

 

Management & leadership experience in a consumer focused healthcare environment. 

 

Exhibited leadership skills and executive presence.

 

Experience in administrative management of professional and/or healthcare divisions.

 

Must possess high ethical standards with ability to build teams and relationships with results orientation and commitment to staff development.

 

Must ascribe to and represent Catholic Religious Ethics, Values, and Principles as they relate to the practice of Catholic healthcare.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

5 years of progressively increasing experience in a clinical leadership role.
