The ultrasound technologist independently obtains and records normal and abnormal anatomy using two-dimensional non-ionizing, high frequency ultrasonic wave for diagnosis and treatment of internal and vascular disease. Operates various imaging equipment, as well as interfaces with various computer systems including the electronic medical records (EMR) and picture archiving computer (PACs) systems. The technologist also ensures individualized, safe and desired patient outcomes in a team environment by participating and collaborating in an interdisciplinary team setting to provide exemplary service to those we serve.
Satisfactory completion of CHEA or USDOE accredited ultrasound program.
Registered by ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound or registry eligible.
If not registered at the time of hire, then must be registered by ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound within 12 months of hire date.
Current BLS CPR, American Heart Association
Graduate of an AMA-approved school in radiography and/or associates degree
Actively licensed by IEMA or eligible.
ARDMS (AB), ARDMS (OB/GYN), ARDMS (B), RVT, RT (VS) (ARRT), RT (BS), ARRT (R)
1 year performing abdominal, pelvic and vascular ultrasound.
1 year of Diagnostic Radiology experience
