Description

The Patient Complaint and Grievance Specialist promotes communication between patient/families and Medical Center personnel by coordinating the response to various concerns related to clinical care and triaging phone calls to the appropriate staff. Provides a variety of administrative support functions while managing multiple tasks with simultaneous timelines. This role will be involved with various processes and communications related to quality safety, risk management and the Medical Center Administrative team. Requires incumbent to act independently and use judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential communications.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High school diploma or GED

 

 

1 year experience with computers, Microsoft office applications with sharing data through presentations, reports & graphics

 

1 year experience in a healthcare or customer service industry related area

 

 

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively, often in stressful situations, and to maintain effective working relationships

 

Demonstrated organization and prioritize skills

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Thorough knowledge of the entire Medical Center

 

Strong oral/written communication skills necessary in order to interact effectively with all levels of healthcare personnel and patients/families.

 

Strong analytical skills necessary in order to analyze data and develop programs necessary to effectively monitor, evaluate and improve quality and safety of care.

 

Experience with Midas
