The VP of Innovation Integration is responsible for leading the innovation partnership and the office of innovation management teams, which include evaluating and building strategic partnerships across the nation that support the identification and development of innovative solutions and business models for the achievement of the strategic goals of OSF HealthCare System and the focus areas of OSF Innovation. This position is responsible for the oversight of the innovation partnership lifecycle including the intake of emerging technology solutions, problem statement creation, solution exploration, business case development, reporting and outcomes tracking. This position is also responsible for the oversight of the office of innovation management including commercialization of ideas and management of intellectual property. The VP of Innovation Integration will support the dual transformation efforts across the system, including development of the solution portfolio across core, adjacent and breakthrough. This position will be responsible to support the digital transformation efforts and works closely with all disciplines within OSF Innovation, delivering transformational, multi-disciplinary team objectives. Position requires travel across the nation, up to 50%.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Statistics, Business Administration, or Finance.

 

 

 

7 years healthcare administrative, project management or business development experience in order to fully understand division services and market conditions, healthcare system standards and policies, and government and accreditation agency requirements, and to effectively direct and plan the development of division service lines.

 

5 years of leadership experience.

 

 

Ability to convert strategy into discrete tactics and actions, and to manage cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority over most team members. 

 

Advanced interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with a wide variety of influential healthcare personnel and physicians when handling highly sensitive issues, and with community organizations and outside agency officials when gathering and exchanging information, and ability to promote and maintain good physician relations.

 

Strong written and verbal communication skills, an attention to detail, an aptitude for logical thinking, a commitment to professional ethics, and the ability to interact with development staff as well as experience working in non-profit sector and with sensitive and confidential information.

 

Advanced analytical skills necessary in order to develop success metrics, assess company financials when performing due diligence and determine what data should be captured in order to show outcomes achieved.

 

Ability to develop and implement new services, systems and/or procedures, determine needs for capital equipment and personnel, improve the financial performance of assigned departments, and prepare complex, special and recurring reports or analyses.

 

 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Statistics, Business Administration, or Finance.

 

Venture capital, start-up and entrepreneur expertise and experience.
