Description

The Senior Financial Analyst - Ministry supports system-wide strategic planning, financial planning and stewardship, business development, and performance improvement opportunities. As an integral part of the OSF Ministry Financial Planning and Analysis team, enables the continuous development, facilitation, and performance of appropriate financial decision-making across the continuum of care. Continued development of this acumen will empower OSF to serve high-performing care delivery teams and our patients, in a manner where OSF is seen as one of the innovative pioneers of the new health care delivery model.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

 

 

5 years of work experience in Accounting, Finance, or Revenue Cycle

 

Demonstrated advanced computer skills with strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs such as excel

 

Demonstrated strong analytical skills to gather, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data and transform into useable information to address operational and system related problems

 

Demonstrated ability to perform under changing circumstances and deadlines; strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly; and strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Master’s level coursework

 

 

5 years of work experience in the healthcare industry

 

Experience with finance in an integrated healthcare environment

 

Knowledge of: performance improvement methodologies, mergers and acquisitions, benchmarking or financial planning

 

 

Understanding of the healthcare industry, trends, issues, risks, etc.

 

Experience with database and decision support systems.

 

 

CPA, CMA, CHFP, or PMP certification
