Description

Assists providers and the interdisciplinary team in delivering patient care in a home like setting.  Performs responsibilities in nursing practice areas of clinician, clinical inquiry, teacher, professional development and leadership. Responsibilities also include patient/family education and instruction during visits, phone triage and other activities as assigned.  Understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care the needs of neonatal, pediatrics, adolescent and adult patients in regard to their growth and development process.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

For those beginning employment on or after October 1, 2015, must obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within six years from date of hire. 

 

Must show proof of enrollment in a BSN program within 18 months from date of hire.

 

Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Illinois.

 

CPR and PALS certification.

 

Ability to effectively communicate with patient/families, physicians and hospital staff.

 

Basic computer skills.

 

Strong Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and appropriately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

 

Ability to assess and analyze patient needs and evaluate responses to interventions.

 

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

2 years or more of nursing experience preferred.
