Description

The Program Director School of Radiology directs the operations of the School of Radiologic Technology ensuring a high quality educational program and successful integration of students into the Radiology Department.  This includes recruiting, selecting, counseling, instructing, monitoring performance of, and advising students.  Develops and implements changes to policies, procedures, schedules, curriculum and teaching methods, ensuring the program meets OSF and accrediting agency requirements and achieves objectives of the department.  Works with clinical instructor team on monitoring student clinical performance and individualized education when appropriate.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Must have one of the following:

 

Master’s Degree in a related health care field or education

            or

 

Bachelor’s Degree with the ability to attain a Master’s Degree in a related health care field or education within the first 12 months in the position

 

 

2 years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program that includes teaching courses, conducting and supervising clinical lab/simulation learning experiences, evaluating student achievement, providing input into curriculum development, policy and procedure formulation, and evaluation of program effectiveness

 

3 years clinical experience in the Radiography professional discipline 

 

 

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiography

 

 

Proficient in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, and academic advising 

 

Knowledge of current accreditation and certification procedures.
