Description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality diagnostic medical images for interpretation at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  Responsibility includes EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with ALARA and all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with associated certificate or degree.

 

IEMA License in Nuclear Medicine. ARRT(NM) or NMTCB registry or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of graduation) Current CPR certification (American Heart Association).

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

1 year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred

 

NMTCB (Cardiology)

 

Bachelor of Science
