Description
The Registered Nurse in the OSFMG Call Center Centralized Clinical Services division is responsible for assessing patient's condition/needs and triaging all clinical calls, giving appropriate clinical direction and options to the caller, and providing education at an age/developmental level that is suitable for each individualized patient and/or caregiver. Communicates effectively and efficiently to members of teh care team to ensure patients needs are met in a timely manner. The RN utilizes physiological, psychosocial and spiritual knowledge to care for a variety of patients and their significant others and recognizes the direct relationship between cost effective and efficient provision of care and services to ensure positive outcomes of care. The RN is available as a resource and delegate appropriate tasks to LPN's Medical Assistants in the Clinical Services division of the department. Follows defined standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Illinois RN license
BSN mandatory within 6 years of hire, if not currently held. (signed agreement required)
Current CPR
Must have or obtain within the first 90 days of employment, certification in CPR
Ability to work well under mental pressure
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with physicians, team members and patients
