DescriptionPerforms duties/tasks related to acceptance/transfer of patients on unit, transfer of patients, and the like. Maintains patient charts ensuring documents are scanned into EMR in a timely manner. Monitors and interprets patients’ EKG rhythms per remote viewing station. Responsible for assembly, maintenance, cleaning and tracking of equipment. Assemble and maintain logs. Recognizes and identifies cardiac rhythms, alarms, and emergent situations. Communicates with nursing staff. In addition, the following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary slightly by assigned unit or shift. Strong customer service and hospitality skills required. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills are preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent
Completing and passing EKG class within the first 12 weeks of employment, as well as passing EKG competency every 12 months.
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Experience in Patient Relations or Customer Relations in healthcare
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills
