Description
The Volunteer Outreach Program Coordinator leads the volunteer program for the facility and provides support for partnering community outreach programs. Provides frontline leadership for volunteer team and collaborates with internal and external departments and agencies to help drive service excellence. Develops and maintains relationships with internal departments, and congregations, community groups and schools in the surrounding communities to help drive and foster strategic recruitment and retention of volunteers. Serves as retail team lead for gift shop and café services. Collaborates with unit leaders, Administration and other departments and resources; identifies and supports volunteer opportunities in support of population health initiatives which provide an innovative approach to delivering rural health care in the community.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years’ experience in community agencies, philanthropy, volunteer services, health services or related field
High School Diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors’ degree in public relations, community health or related field
Experience working with diverse populations
