The Surgical Registered Nurse implements the nursing process for patients in the Outpatient/Surgical Unit, administers treatments as ordered by the physician, reports any problems or concerns to the appropriate supervisor, reports changes in patient condition to the ordering physician or supervising physician, prepares supplies/equipment, and assists the physician as necessary. Duties may include, but are not limited to, preparing a patient for surgery, assisting surgeon during surgical case, instrumentation preparation, recovery of patient, and patient education.
Registered Nurse State of Illinois licensure
CPR & ACLS required
CNOR certified encouraged
BSN or actively enrolled in a BSN program with completion within 5 years of start with OSF.
