Description

The Epidemiologist will utilize advanced knowledge of epidemiology, statistical testing, analysis, modeling and clinical research to help improve the lives of those we serve. This position will function as a partner with leadership responsible for key populations and will assist in the identification, design, development, analysis, interpretation, presentation, implementation and management of population health based initiatives. The Epidemiologist will be required to independently manage data extraction from complex internal and external data sources.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Master’s Degree in epidemiology, statistics, biostatistics, public health, ecology, or other quantitative discipline


3 years of progressive outcome-oriented experience in analytics

 

Experience and competency in R or Python, and SQL

 

Experience in health services and/or clinical research with awareness of healthcare policy, finance, and regulatory issues.

  

Proven ability to effectively and efficiently design and complete statistical research projects within determined timeframes.

 

Proven ability to effectively communicate statistical concepts with internal and external audiences of mixed technical skill levels and clinical knowledge.

 

Proven ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

 

Proficient at effectively and comfortably assisting non-technical staff define and develop statistical research projects.

 

Advanced understanding of health care clinical, operational and financial data and research.

 

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office suite for report write-ups and presentation creation.

  

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

2 years of healthcare related analytics experience

 

2 years of experience working within the EPIC data ecosystem

 

2 years of experience using R or Python for statistical analysis
