Description

The Clinical Supervisor of Radiology Operations is responsible for the daily operations of the Radiology Department at the hospital and the free standing Imaging Center at the off-campus location.  The Supervisor will coordinate the activities of Mission Partners performing Admissions/Registration, Coding and Medical Imaging procedures in addition to ensuring provision of high quality services and compliance with department, Medical Center, and third-party requirements.  Will supervise a staff of approximately twenty-five and will maintain appropriate staffing levels and assist with developing direct reports. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High school graduate or equivalent. 

 

Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and is registered by the ARRT or IEMA.

 

Maintains Basic Life Support certification- American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) or American Red Cross (CPR for Health Care Providers)

 

Minimum of 3 years of experience in performing full-range of CT, Diagnostic, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and/or Ultrasound procedures at a staff tech level. 

 

Current ARRT or IEMA License in Diagnostic Radiology

 

Maintain Basic Life Support certification- American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) or American Red Cross (CPR for Health Care Providers)

 

Basic knowledge of operations and coordinating staff schedules to meet the demands of the department.

 

Ability to critically think, respond appropriately to stressful working environment, and support strategic alignment with leadership.

 

Good written and verbal communication skills.

 

Ability to handle problems on an independent basis.

 

Good organizational skills.

 

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, and outside agencies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Previous experience in lead or supervisory capacity is desirable.
