DescriptionIn accordance with established policies and procedures, a Work Control Support Tech transcribes data from source material into the computer, corrects and updates information and distributes and records information for subsequent processing. Proof-reads input data to ensure accuracy. Maintains computer system for department and is responsible for ordering computer supplies. Prioritizes and dispatches service requests to appropriate Facility Services Staff.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and to give readily understood information in both verbal and written forms.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform secretarial duties.
Ability to operate a computer at a level normally acquired through previous experience or completion of a basic computer course.
Approximately 6-12 months on the job experience necessary in order to gain familiarity with general office computer software programs and facility policies and procedures.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with varying contacts within the organization and outside contacts such as computer hardware and software vendors.
