Coordinates and supervises all aspects of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program for OSF HealthCare in order to provide compassionate care to all survivors of sexual assault. Provides direction, education, and performance feedback regarding SANE functions and requirements to the SANE RN Mission Partners across the Ministry to ensure appropriate education and certification, coordinate coverage at the designated treatment centers, as well as quality compliance initiatives as deemed necessary by IDPH. Aligns closely with the OSF Clinical Excellence Clinical Data Team for purposes of maintaining quality data and external reporting.
Bachelor’s Degree from an approved School of Nursing
Current state license as a Registered Nurse
Current adult/adolescent SANE
SANE-A and/or SANE-P national certification or completion within 1 year
2 years of SANE experience
2 years of leadership experience
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to provide effective leadership to assigned personnel, maintain positive relationships among staff, physicians and Medical Center personnel, interact with patients and visitors.
Analytical skills necessary to organize and direct the work of others, develop, implement, and administer policies, procedures, budgets, and nursing practices.
Current state certification as a SANE-P
