The Simulation Technician works closely with Simulation Facilitators (clinical staff) to provide ongoing support for medical simulations or other training sessions. This may include use or support of A/V equipment, support and set up of medical equipment, use of computer software and simulation tools, set up and operation of Laerdal simulation manikins, locating and managing medical supplies needed to enhance delivery of simulation activities (IV supplies, pumps, crash carts).
High School Diploma or its equivalent
1 year experience with high fidelity simulation equipment and task trainers; or 2 years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting (e.g. EMT, Paramedic, PCT, etc.), or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired is required
Must be knowledgeable in medical terminology, medical supplies and cardiac rhythms.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and easily
Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse groups
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner
Experience with setting up A/V equipment is preferred
