The primary responsibility of the EMS Education Coordinator is to plan, coordinate, review and evaluate EMS education within the McLean County Area EMS System. This includes initial licensure education and continuing education for all levels of EMS providers. The Education Coordinator works with the Quality Assurance Coordinator to make recommendations for continuing education based on quality review findings.
Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse, or EMT-Paramedic
With 3-5 years of experience in emergency services.
Ability to review, classify, categorize and/or analyze data
Communication skills to work with a diverse public and work force
Computer skills including the use of Word, Power Point, Excel, and Multimedia tools
The ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and in various settings
Knowledge of Basic and Advance Life Support equipment
Able to foster an environment to grow and sustain quality education
Associates degree or higher
Lead Instructor Licensure preferred
2 years of experience in education
Experience in the pre-hospital setting
