Description

The Energy Analyst provides technical expertise in the areas of energy management, waste reduction, and water efficiency, as a team leader or team member, during the planning, design, construction, and operations of OSF HealthCare System facilities. Supports energy and sustainability data collection, reporting and leads project implementation, and results quantification to meet OSF Healthcare System sustainability goals.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, energy management or related field.

 

 

2 years experience in energy management, sustainability programs, waste reduction, building control systems, and project management.

 

 

Experience with energy and sustainability data management in healthcare, manufacturing, or commercial sector.

 

Experience leading projects from conception through implementation and validation in healthcare, manufacturing, or commercial sector. 

 

Experience with various utilities and agencies such as Ameren, ComEd, Nicor Gas, Michigan DTE, EPA, and ASHE.

 

 

Detail oriented with strong analytical skills for organizing, evaluating, and interpreting complex data; evaluating and explaining trends; understanding energy assessment reports; identifying phenomena, root cause, and countermeasures; proving input to design specifications. 

 

Strong computer skills including familiarity/experience with Microsoft Office Suite with a high proficiency in Excel with competence in pivot tables/charts and PowerPoint to prepare complex and organized presentations.

 

Working knowledge in common web-based applications such as those used for project management. 

 

Excellent written and oral presentation skills; very organized; works independently and as part of a team on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Must be able to negotiate and integrate opposing points of view in a professional manner. 

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Healthcare industry

 

Familiarity with electronic building automation systems and energy monitoring systems utilizing direct digital control (DDC) strategies. 

 

Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and tools.
