DescriptionThe Off-Campus Facilities Manager is responsible for the physical condition and the routine and preventive maintenance activities of owned and leased Off-Campus facilities. Working with site management, assists in the resolution of issues related to the buildings, utility systems and grounds. Assures maintenance of a safe and mechanically efficient environment; conducts annual performance appraisals of all Department staff; develops and implements employee communications and education programs. Assists in the planning and implementation of an annual Departmental operations budget, maintains department position control and productivity standards and maintains ongoing Quality Improvement program to be compliant with appropriate governmental and compliance agencies.
Degree in Engineering, preferably civil, mechanical or electrical or similar Facilities Management degree. Equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
5 years progressive experience in supervision of healthcare maintenance and engineering department to include installation construction and maintenance of equipment, utilities and building.
Technical and analytical skills necessary to analyze problems, develop corrective measures, and implement action; gather and analyze financial data, estimate manpower, materials and equipment needs, develop policies and procedures, and evaluate new material and equipment.
Knowledge of construction design, processes and procedures as well as AIA documents and building codes.
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and to give readily understood information in both verbal and written forms. Ability to read and write is essential.
Valid driver’s license required.
