Description

The Vice President of Virtual Care will work in a dyad relationship with the Vice President of Intake Operations working to integrate patient engagement and intake with telehealth service offerings.  They will serve as a telehealth services liaison to leaders within the OSF HealthCare system to promote development, uptake, and utilization of innovative telehealth technologies.  The primary focus will be identifying, creating, and executing on opportunities for telehealth programs to optimize patient intake, improve clinical outcomes, and reinvent the patient experience.  They will also be responsible to grow the number of lives served by virtual care across the Ministry. They will also work closely with OSF providers and clinicians to promote performance feedback to best understand further opportunities for novel solutions.  Through this interconnected approach, the VP will work to ensure that OSF’s world class clinical care is accessible to remote patients and providers, enabling a more solidified vision for the utilization of Telehealth as one potential solution to our key strategies. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other clinically relevant field.

 

 

Knowledge of health care administration, basic statistics, and management as normally acquired through completion. 

 

2 years healthcare administrative experience in order to fully understand division services and market conditions, healthcare system standards and policies, and government and accreditation agency requirements, and to effectively direct and plan the development of division service lines.

 

5 years of management & leadership experience in a consumer focused healthcare environment.  

 

Must possess high ethical standards with ability to build teams and relationships with results orientation and commitment to staff development.

 

 

Understanding of telehealth technologies, tools, legislation and regulations.

 

Advanced interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with a wide variety of influential healthcare personnel and physicians when handling highly sensitive issues, and with community organizations and outside agency officials when gathering and exchanging information, and ability to promote and maintain good physician relations.

 

Advanced analytical skills necessary in order to develop and implement new services, systems and/or procedures, determine needs for capital equipment and personnel, improve the financial performance of assigned departments, and prepare complex, special and recurring reports or analyses.

 

Must ascribe to and represent Catholic Religious Ethics, Values, and Principles as they relate to the practice of Catholic healthcare.

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Professional development courses in health care management and/or MPH, MHS, MBA, or MS in health administration or closely related degree.

 

Relevant work in telehealth and/or start up experience.

 

Experience in quality management/performance improvement.
