Description

Coordinates and organizes all daily operations of the Faith in Action volunteer program.  Creates and develops efficient systems and procedures to improve the program and provide support to the Director.  These systems should at least include logistical and data tracking.  Meet and assess the needs of care receivers in their home environment, and then assist in meeting those needs through volunteers and referrals through the community.  Maintain the program by continually recruiting new volunteers and retaining existing volunteers.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Associate’s Degree in social work, health education, public health, community health, or related field

 

Minimum of 1 year experience of working in geriatrics, case work, or related field

 

Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance

 

Intermediate computer knowledge (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Web Browsing programs)

 

Excellent communication skills

 

Ability to read and develop spreadsheets

 

Excellent organizational and project management skills

 

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines

 

Willing to take initiative and work either independently or collaboratively

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Bachelor’s degree in social work, health education, public health, community health, or related field

 

1 year experience in event planning and promotion

 

Experience in public speaking
