Description
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant provides for care, comfort, and safety of patients; assists with activities of daily living, including meal services, personal care, toileting, repositioning, transfers, and ambulation. Duties include taking obtaining glucometers, urine specimens, and weights and taking vital signs. The Patient Care Technician may also perform clerical duties, answering phones, preparing and scanning patient charts.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Illinois
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED
Experience working with pediatric to geriatric patients.
