Under the general direction of a radiologist and the manager of Medical Imaging, performs a variety of technical procedures, including computed tomography exams that may require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Demonstrates knowledge of proper imaging technique (i.e. positioning and technical factors) in special populations such as children, adults, elderly and patients in debilitating conditions. Provides care for patients and family/significant others across the lifespan based on physical, psychological, education, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in all assigned areas.
Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
2 years-experience in Radiologic Technology (Radiologic Technology school time will apply)
ARRT RT (R) certified or ARRT eligible (Must have credentials within 2 months of hire date)
Current certification by the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR, approved equivalent or scheduled class to be completed within 30 days of hire
Current active ARRT (R) (CT) certification
1 year previous CT experience
