Reporting to the Manager and according to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care in accordance with physicians’ orders to patients being treated in the PromptCare. In doing so, assesses and triages patients, stabilizes acutely-ill and trauma victims, reassesses patients’ condition, administers prescribed drugs, assists physicians in delivering emergency medical care, observes patients’ progress, records pertinent observations, and reports reactions to drugs and treatment. Assists physicians with examinations and prepares instruments and equipment for physicians’ use. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of patients served (newborn through adult) by the PromptCare.
Current State license as a Registered Nurse required.
Current OSF Mission Partners not working in a RN capacity must complete a BSN program within 6 years of Date of Hire.
Emergency/critical care nursing experience preferred.
