Description

The Supervisor of Radiology and Medical Imaging is responsible for the overall operations within the clinical areas of Radiology, Mammography, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, and Radiology Nursing to ensure provision of accurate and reliable services.  Responsible for effectively managing financial, capital, and human resources of assigned areas by establishing, implementing and monitoring quality and productivity standards.  Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to policies and procedures in order to ensure compliance with Medical Center and third-party requirements for patient care and confidential patient information.  Responsible for the departmentally related areas of oversight related to EPIC and PACS.  This includes working with IT for upgrades, patches, bundle applications, compliance, trouble shooting, and education within the department of Radiology.

 

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.

 

Licensed with IEMA.

 

Current Active ARRT(R) certification.

 

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS

 

3 or more years of experience in Radiologic Technology and knowledge of CT, Diagnostic, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and/or Ultrasound procedures at a staff tech level.

 

Advanced knowledge of operations and coordinating staff schedules to meet the demands of the department.

 

Ability to critically think, respond appropriately to stressful working environment, and support strategic alignment with leadership.

 

Good written and verbal communication skills.

 

Ability to handle problems on an independent basis.

 

Good organizational skills.

 

Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, and outside agencies.

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Previous experience in lead or supervisory capacity.

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Leadership or Radiological Technology.

 

Experience in Microsoft Office programs.
