DescriptionOperates a switchboard, various types of telephones and other equipment relating to alarms and code procedures. Provides information and relays communications between physicians, nurses, clinical laboratories and patients through call processing; performs clerical functions and other related duties.
High School graduate with courses in typing, business and data entry.
P.C. and C.R.T. experience and 10 key proficiency.
Verbal ability to effectively communicate with people.
Clerical perception and two (2) hand motor coordination to handle telephone boards and messages.
Courtesy and tact required.
Pleasant voice with good dictation and enunciation.
Preference for business contacts and willingness to do routine tasks
Previous Communication/switchboard experience of six (6) months preferred.
