The Service Technician is responsible for delivering and picking up equipment and supplies in a timely, courteous and accurate manner. The Service Technician should promote good will with the patients and caregivers while in the home. Upon delivery the Service Technician is to instruct the patient/ caregiver on the use of the equipment in the home. Responsibilities will include coordinating daily routes to insure priority is given to patients with urgent medical needs and/ or time restraints. The technician will complete and return all necessary paperwork, drivers activity logs, and/ or documentation relating to the deliveries or pick-ups. The technician will ensure that returned equipment picked-up from the home is handled per policy and place the equipment in the designated storage area. Service Technicians should assist with the cleaning, disinfecting, and in-house maintenance of equipment.
Duties may include warehouse and vehicle responsibilities. Maintains delivery vehicles in a clean and orderly fashion. Performs vehicle safety check each day before leaving. Assists with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles. Assists in other warehouse duties as requested.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and execute own workload.
Demonstrates ability to work with others.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Maintains a valid driver’s license.
Must have a good driving record substantiated by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Must have good communication skills and service oriented approach.
Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
Expected to take department on-call as required.
Expected to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
