Under close supervision of the Director and Registered Nurse and according to established policies and procedures, performs routine services and duties and basic nursing procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of the patient
Must be 16 years old and certified as a Nurse Aide on the State of Illinois Nurse Aide Registry.
Working knowledge of a clinical on-line system and Microsoft Office programs.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to gather and exchange information with fellow workers, physicians, patients, visitors, and various medical center employees.
Analytical skills necessary in order to gather and interpret routine data, maintain semi-complex records, organize work and the like.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing basic patient care tasks.
Practices Universal Blood and Body Fluid precautions, appropriately handles hazardous materials and follows OSHA regulations per approved policies and procedures.
